Coronavirus is spreading all around the world and how! With companies implementing work from home and recession taking place, it has come to apartment owners and to ensure the safety of their residents and tenants.
Good samaritan landlords are coming forward and relieving their tenants from the pressure of paying rents.
One Twitter user, Amy Gledhill shared how her landlord Chris reassured her that despite her work circumstance she won’t be evicted from her home and but should rather take care of herself and her family first.
My landlord just text me this and I’m sobbing. LANDLORDS, TAKE NOTE. If you’re in a position to say this to someone, please do. When we can’t rely on the government, we’ve got to help each other. #COVID19 #rentfreeze #landlords pic.twitter.com/FuIi1JIU0C

Amy’s tweet received multiple responses, one from Peter Edge who mentioned how his landlord offered all her tenants to to either pay 25% of rent for the next three months or not pay any if they are in financial crisis.
LANDLORDS, TAKE NOTE indeed. My landlady called me and said; “I know that you could be worrying about finances. Please pay 25% rent for the next 3 months, or until you feel able to pay the full amount.”
I’m speechless.

Many more landlords are coming up with COVID-19 plans to safeguard their tenants and are motivating others to do the same.
