New York Government has announced protections for renters during the COVID19 crisis. According to this new circular, Landlords cannot evict the tenants from their space. In fact, tenants may use their security deposits as a rent payment.
The compliance would be active until Aug 20, 2020, and applicable for both commercial and residential tenants.
